Basechat Messaging Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to Basechat SMS messaging used for demonstration and test messages, 2FA PIN codes, and agent alert subscriptions for authorized helpline agents.

What we collect

We may collect the information needed to operate the messaging program, including phone number, message content, message timestamps, delivery information, opt-in and opt-out status, 2FA PIN code request and verification information, agent alert subscription status, registered helpline or customer association for authorized agents, and limited technical log data.

How we use the information

We use this information only to provide the relevant messaging service.

This includes running demonstrations and tests, sending and responding to demonstration messages, sending 2FA PIN codes, verifying access, managing agent alert subscriptions, sending agent alerts, responding to inbound messages, and troubleshooting issues.

We do not use this messaging program to send marketing or promotional messages.

Sharing of information

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies by use case.

Demonstration and test messages are limited to the relevant meeting, demo, setup, or test.

2FA PIN code messages are sent only when requested or needed for verification.

Agent alert messages are sent when relevant helpline activity occurs. Agent alert subscriptions expire after 8 hours or when the agent texts END.

Message and data rates may apply.

Choices and support

STOP and HELP keywords are supported.

You can opt out of SMS messaging by texting STOP. For agent alerts, an agent may text END to unsubscribe from alerts without using STOP.

Basechat Messaging Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to Basechat SMS messaging used for demonstration and test messages, 2FA PIN codes, and agent alert subscriptions for authorized helpline agents.

Program description

Basechat may send SMS messages for the following purposes:

Consent

By texting in, requesting a 2FA PIN code, participating in a Basechat demonstration or test, or subscribing to agent alerts, you agree to receive the related SMS messages from Basechat.

For agent alerts, only authorized agents whose phone numbers are registered with the relevant helpline may subscribe. Agents may subscribe by texting supported keywords such as START. Spanish keywords may also be supported.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies.

Demonstration and test messages are limited to the relevant meeting, demo, setup, or test.

2FA PIN code messages are sent only when requested or needed for verification.

Agent alert messages are sent when relevant helpline activity occurs. Agent alert subscriptions expire after 8 hours or when the agent texts END.

Opt-out and help

You can opt out of SMS messaging at any time by texting STOP.

For agent alerts, an agent may text END to unsubscribe from alerts. END stops the agent alert subscription. STOP is a general SMS opt-out.
